Today (20th September), Bandai Namco held a Special Stage event for the upcoming Jump fighting game, Jump Force. The Special Stage invited Producer of Jump Force, Koji Nakashima and Japanese Actress, Rika Adachi on stage to reveal new information for the game.
During the Special Stage, Nakashima revealed that in Jump Force, players will play as their own character alongside Luffy and Goku. the game will feature character creation, and the characters that players create will also be used as their avatars when they enter the newly revealed Online Lobbies.
In addition to Online Lobbies, a new PV was revealed during the Special Stage, revealing more playable characters for the game. The new PV reveals Kurapica and Killua from Hunter x Hunter and introduces Yu Yu Hakusho’s Yuusuke Urameshi and Younger Toguro to the game.
In addition to the new characters, Nakashima also revealed a new map for Jump Force. The map revealed is set in Japan and has the backdrop of a traditional Japanese Castle decorated with sakura trees.
Nearing the end of the Special Stage, V Jump’s Editor-in-Chief, Akio Iyoku to the stage to make a couple of special announcements! The first announcement revealed four original characters designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. The characters revealed include the Director of J Force Grover (グラバー), Navigator – the Navigator (ナビゲーター), and finally, Galena (ガレナ) and Cain (カイン), the villains.
The second announcement talks about the previously revealed Yugi Muto from the Yu-Gi-Oh series and the recently teased Super Saiyan Blue!During the stage! Iyoku revealed that information on Yugi Muto and Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue form will be revealed in the next issue of V Jump which will be released on 21st September.
