The Pokemon Company has just released a new trailer for Pokemon Sword and Shield! The new trailer reveals more new Pokemon that players will encounter in the upcoming game including new Galarian form Pokemon.
In addition to new Pokemon, the trailer also reveals new characters that will play key roles in the upcoming game.
▍New Pokemon
The trailer revealed one new Pokemon from the Galar region, Morpeko. Morpeko features a special ability called Hunger Switch which allows it to change between Fully Belly Mode and Hangry Mode, changing the Type from Electric to Dark.
▍Galarian Forms
Region forms will make a return in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. In addition to the new forms, the Galarian Linoone will also be able to evolve once more into a new Pokemon Obstagoon.
▍New Rivals Bede & Marnie
Bede is one of the players’ rivals in the new game. Having received his endorsement from Rose, the chairman of the Galar Pokemon League, he has joined the Gym challenge. Asides from aiming to become the Champion, he seems to have other hidden objectives.
Marnie is the other rival revealed in the new trailer. She has a competitive side and together with her partner Morpeko, she aims to become the Champion of the Glar region to accomplish her other goal. Due to her sense of style and calm calculative battle strategies, she has many passionate fans.
▍Team Yell
Team Yell is Sword and Shield’s team of troublemakers. They are spread out over the Galar region and will attempt to get in your way whenever they find the opportunity.
The official worldwide release date for Pokemon Sword & Shield has been announced to be 15th November this year.
