WIT STUDIO original TV anime “GREAT PRETENDER” reveals a key visual and PV. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan on 2nd June 2020 and worldwide in July on Netflix.
“91 Days” and “Hozuki’s Coolheadedness” director Hiro Kaburagi (鏑木ひろ) joins hands with renowned Japanese TV drama scriptwriter Ryota Kosawa (古澤良太), who known for his work, “Legal High”, “AIBOU: Tokyo Detective Duo” and “The Confidence Man JP”. “FLCL” anime and movie series’ Yoshiyuki Sadamoto ( 貞本義行 ) is in charge of the character design.

▍Synopsis
Makoto Edamura is probably Japan’s greatest swindler, together with his partner Kudo. However, when they try to trick a French man in Asakusa, they get tricked instead. The Frenchman, whom they tried to swindle, turns out to be Laurent Thierry- a much higher-level ‘confidence man,’ in control of the mafias. Edamura is yet to find out what fate awaits him, after having engaged in Thierry’s dirty jobs…!
