Chinese developer NetEase Games yesterday (20th May) confirmed that the Onmyoji (阴阳师) IP will have a collaboration with TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” (鬼滅の刃) during the annual 520 Conference. Two “Onmyoji” spin-off games, “Onmyoji Idol Project” and “Project: World” (代号?世界), were also unveiled.
▍“Onmyoji” x “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”
The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” collaboration will be held in the four smartphone titles under the Onmyoji IP, including “Onmyoji”, “Onmyoji Arena”, “Onmyoji: The Card Game”, and “Onmyoji: Yokai Koya”. Details will be revealed later.
▍“Onmyoji Idol Project”
“Onmyoji Idol Project” is a simulation game, which turns the signature characters from “Onmyoji” into the modern world’s idols. In order to build a peaceful world, where humans and yōkai co-exists, you develop your talent agency and form contracts with the yōkai idols. A PV is also streamed, previewing the angelic voice performed of Aoandon (CV:Mizuki Nana).
