Written by Riku Sanjo (三條陸) and illustrated by Koji Inada (稻田浩司 ), the “Dragon Quest” spinoff manga “Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai” yesterday (27th May) announced three new game projects for smartphone devices, video arcade, and consoles.
▍”Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Spirit of Bonds”
”Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Spirit of Bonds” (ドラゴンクエスト ダイの大冒険 -魂の絆-) is a “great dash” smartphone RPG joining hands with DeNA. The theme circles around an adventure story of bravery and bondings. Players will be able to form teams of three with different characters. Their jobs, such as mage, monk, and fighters, will be crucial to battles.
There are various actions such as moves that blow enemies away and they are all done with simple controls for smartphones. More information will be revealed this fall. The game is set to release in 2021.

▍”Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Xross Blade”
”Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Xross Blade” (ドラゴンクエスト ダイの大冒険 クロスブレイド) will be playable in Japanese arcades this fall. It features physical cards that you can use to interact with the game. The project is being developed by Takara Tomy A.R.T.S.

“Infinity Strash – Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai” (インフィニティ ストラッシュ ドラゴンクエスト ダイの大冒険) is an action RPG for consoles. The game will have players playing as established characters from the series, using familiar magic and abilities to take down monsters. It is set to launch in Japan in 2021.
