Square Enix announced that its otome smartphone game “World End Heroes” (ワールドエンドヒーローズ) will end service on 20th August 2020 after maintenance. The game was launched on 13th November 2018 and has run for 1 year and 9 months.
The manga adaptation, which set to debut in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge (少年マガジンエッジ) this summer, is also suspended. The smartphone game reveals plans to go offline and more information will be announced on its official website later.

“World End Heroes” is a situation RPG, where players play the role of a commander and to guide the heroes to protect the city from a mysterious creature called “Eater” (イーター). The game features 21 renowned voice actors, including Ishikawa Kaito, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Koki Uchiyama, and Tomokazu Sugita.
