Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“Just the opening sequence made me think… What a masterpiece!”
“Love how the developers put a lot of attention of the enemies of the game!”
“All the characters in the game wears pink panties.”

Following the Traditional Chinese version that has been released for a while now, the Japanese version of “崩壊3rd”, Houkai 3rd, is finally out. Although the game is originally released in Simplied Chinese, it has been highly anticipated and is well received in Japan. As an action game, the system itself is quite fluent, but the game features a shards system for equipment which is a little disappointing.

Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“Not bad, at least you can control your units and launch a sneak attack on enemy base.”
“The game seems to be launching for the Chinese market, is it that popular?”
“SP Gacha can go die, the rates are too low.”

Many people see Rick G Earth as the land version of KanColle and they wouldn’t be entirely wrong, but the developers has put a lot of attention into creating a game that fits in to the same genre but incorporates new features to keep players hooked.

A unique and important feature of Rick G Earth is that both yours and enemy units can be captured, alongside the permanent death system, the game emphasizes on weighing your risks before each move.

But of course, the highlight of the game is how each unit looks in shredded clothes after taking damage.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: Diamond Records

Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“Are the publishers brain just for decoration?”
“Can’t do anything unless you pay”
“I logged in today and almost half the people on my friends list seems to have quit already…”

One of the many IPs Bandai Namco has released on mobile. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: Diamond Records captures the originality of the series and character models are made exceptionally. However, Bandai Namco made a bizarre decision of not giving out any Diamond Coins (in-game premium currency) after the launch week, forcing players to buy the currency of forever be left behind.

Although the game has some incredible 3D models, for a fighting game it lacks the fluency that is needed, making some of the scenes a little low on FPS which is quite dissatisfying.

Fantasy Squad

Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“The games system can be found almost anywhere, characters are only so-so, can’t see it being popular.”
“Hard to say if anyone is paying in this game, but the packages aren’t attractive.”

Another classic Korean game’s attempt for the Japanese market. Offering character designs that don’t really appeal to the market combined with typical Korean game play styles, similar to that of Seven Knights.

Although the game isn’t doing particularly well, its still worth a try, there’s nothing strong enough to keep you hooked so you won’t really feel like you’re missing much when you leave for another game.
