Arc System Works today (16th February) officially launches the mobile RPG BlazBlue Alternative Darkwar for iOS and Android devices in Japan.

▍Overview
BlazBlue Alternative Darkwar’ (BBDW) is a direct sequel of the original “BlazBlue” 2D fighting game series, which first launched in November 2008. BBDW centers on the “Darkwar,” which happens before the main story of the “BlazBlue” series. Player will play as a new character, who is involved in various conspiracies during the Darkwar.
▍Gameplay
Players will build a team of four with the signature characters from the “BlazBlue” series and command them to fight against monsters in turn-based battles. Each unit is different from their status and position. Equipping grimoire to the unit can increase their status. The position suitability will largely affect the battle results.
There are three basic commands in battles; “Revolver,” “Drive” and “Special”. Following a specific sequence of commands will bring chain attack (Extra Attack) to your enemies.
By accumulating the “Overdrive Gauge,” you can select 5 or more commands in one turn and deal large damages. The unit can unleash two types of skills; Distortion Drive and Astral Heat.
