Developed by KLab Games, Kadokawa and Shengqu Games, the magic idol-raising smartphone RPG “Lapis Re:Lights” (ラピスリライツ ~この世界のアイドルは魔法が使える~) reveals a new in-game video that showcases the idols training for their live performance.
In the video, each unit performs in their training clothes as they are preparing for the performance of “Lapis Relights Stars 1st Orchestra LIGHT UP the MAGIC “, an online live performance event that is postponed due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
The game also reveals a short original anime, which will be actually shown in the game when it is officially released in 2021.
▍Overview
“Lapis Re:Lights” is originally a multimedia project announced by KLab and Kadokawa in March 2018. The theme of the project is “The idols that can use magic”. The franchise also inspired an anime adaptation that premiered on 4th July 2020.
Light novel series “Mayo Chiki!” writer Hajime Asano writes the scenario, and U35 designs the characters. Video game “Suikoden” series creator Yoshitaka Murayama collaborates on the worldview setting, and Zuji provides concept art.
