Capcom officially announced the development of Street Fighter 6, the next instalment of the iconic fighting series at today’s Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Season Final. The developer also released a teaser trailer featuring Ryu and Luke, a key DLC character appearing at the end of Street Fighter V.
The teaser trailer showcased a glimpse of the future of Street Fighter, as series mainstay Ryu locks horns with new challenger Luke. The 45th and final character in the Street Fighter V roster was teased to have a key role in the next Street Fighter project, which has now been confirmed.
There was no other information, though the trailer graphics suggest the new title might use a more realistic character style. More information about the title will be coming in the summer of 2022.


Along with the Street Fighter 6 news, Capcom also unveiled a new fighting game compilation, Capcom Fighting Collection, which collects 10 titles including Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Vampire Hunter 2:Darkstalkers’ Revenge and Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition. It arrives on June 24th on PS4, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch.
