Re: Creators’ concept designer Rei Hiroe (広江 礼威) has suspended serialising his manga Black Lagoon (ブラック・ラグーン) since 2010. The well-received series will finally resume serialisation in May 2017.
Published on Monthly Sunday Gene-X, Black Lagoon has been made two seasons of anime in 2006 and some standalone manga chapters were released in 2013 and 2014 during the hiatus. The story follows mafias and pirate mercenaries in Southeast Asia in the 90s. It is best known worldwide for its graphic violence and black comedy.
The manga will still be serialised in Monthly Sunday Gene-X.
