even if TEMPEST tells the story of a young woman, Anastasia Lynzel. Raised by her stepmother, Evelina, she had to face cruelty from a young age and was usually forced to stay in the attic. One day her life changes forever as she gains a special ability called Fatal Rewind, which allows her to change the past.
However, this skill comes with a catch: her fate will give birth to a new, possibly worse tragedy nonetheless. As she tries to break free, she will have the chance to become more intimately connected with the four main characters.

▍Find the Traitor!
On a fateful night, a murder occurs in the kingdom of Historica. After which, five people show up as possible suspects. Your objective is to find the traitor. After clearing through the common route, the four protagonist routes will unlock.
Collect all of the evidence and keywords in each of the routes and bring the truth to light in the courts! Be careful though, as submitting the wrong piece of evidence will decrease the people’s trust in your testimony, and they will be the ones who decide your life and death.

Her last moments are as she lived: bereft of love, void of hope, and overflowing with despair.
And then…she dies.
A witch whispers to the girl stepping in regret: “Don’t you want a second chance?”
The witch bestows upon her the power of the Fatal Rewind, and her charmed life is returned to pure white. A blank state.
“This time, I will transform into the ideal version of myself.”
With this oath branded into her heart, she returns to life.
Yet this resolve will only lead to further misfortune.
The curtain rises on the Carnival, and this witch trial shall herald the end.

A girl who has had to deal with her stepmother’s cruelty since childhood. A musty attic room was once her whole world, but that all changed when she gained the ability to change the past with the Fatal Rewind.
■ Zenn Sorfield – CV: Shunsuke Takeuchi
A man whose family, birthplace, and even age remain shrouded in mystery. His large build and naturally fierce expression often inspire fear in others despite his own intent. Even his status as friend or foe remains entirely unknown to the heroine.
■ Tyril I Lister – CV: Noriaki Sugiyama
A preeminent inquisitor who condemns witches and their crimes.
His polished looks and exceptional powers of the deduction would earn him many fans were it not for the bitter scoldings he’s so wont to give out. The snap of his whip only makes him that much more imposing, so many people find him hard to approach. As a result, Crius and Zenn are their only friends.

After the heroine’s first Fatal Rewind, however, that’s all turned on its head. He becomes a capable if callous, public figure.
