The TV anime adaptation of Yū Tomofuji’s Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts anime revealed a teaser visual highlighting the beauty and the beast couple. The anime is scheduled to debut in 2023.
The romantic story centers on a young girl, who has resigned herself to being the next sacrificial meal for the Beast King. But she turns out to be gradually falling in love with him. A new spin-off manga of Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts will begin serialization this summer or this fall at the Hana to Yume shōjo manga magazine.
▍About Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts
Yū Tomofuji serialized the manga in Hakusensha’s shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume from November 2015 to October 2020. The series is collected into 15 volumes and the last volume is published today on 20th January. It has sold over 1,800,000 copies.
The story of Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts follows Saliphi, who is the 99th female human sacrifice to be eaten for the King of the Beast and Demons, but despite that she is not in the least afraid since she has never had a family nor a home to lose, so she takes a positive attitude and no longer worries about being eaten.
The King finds her amusing and lets her stay by his side until the time of her death. This leads her to find out the truth about the King of the Beast and Demons, and she ends up as the King’s Consort despite being a female human. This leads other beasts and demons to be mad, but the king is powerful enough to shut them up.
This is the story of how Sariphi will become the queen of the demons and beasts.
