Kurokishi to Shiro no Maou
黒騎士と白の魔王
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“The game is fun, but to call it special would be pushing it a little.”
“A very unique trash game (lol)”
“How many years ago was this game made…”
An MMO-like gameplay similar Unison League, with rich story background, and intricate animations after completing each stage. Although the gacha draws characters, the main purpose is the character’s skills. Players can bring up to 8 characters, combined with their own class and skills to create countless strategies and combos.
Overall the gameplay is pretty good, but there are several aspects of the game that seems outdated, making it feel like a 2-3 years old game.
Senkan Strike
戦艦ストライク
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“Looks great, but feels just like World of Tanks”
“Found some Bot like players in game”
“occasionally there are cash abusers with beef battleships, but free-to-play players can still kind of hold their ground.”
Although the game’s marketing features a wide variety of girls, Senkan Strike has almost no girls in the actual gameplay. The only thing to drool over is the various battleships featured in the game.
The game is basically World of Tanks with battleships, moved to the mobile platform. Players take control over their favorite battleship and engage in real-time PvP with other players to earn resources for upgrades.
The gameplay is relatively smooth, but as the game is still new, there quite a few bugs.
Little Battle
リトルバトル
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“When does this game get fun? I’m on 1-9.”
“How should i put it? it just feels really plain”
“So little people! Can’t even find friends.”
A game similar to Line Ranger, with up to 3 player co-op. The biggest difference is that there are 3 lanes.
Since characters are obtained through gacha, basically, early on having SR characters will make life pretty easy. The game does have to work a little more on balancing.
Collaborating with Yatterman at launch, the game has made quite the name for itself. Unfortunately, the core of the game hasn’t been all that well received.
Clash of Panzers
クラッシュ・オブ・パンツァー
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“The App version’s rating is so low! lmao”
“Why isn’t anyone talking about this game? It’s actually fun”
“Even without girls it wouldn’t effect too much right?”
“How do you expect me to try it if it doesn’t have girls?”
This game was made available for a while on DMM’s website. The gameplay resembles that of CoC, but with superior graphics, girls, and military vehicles which make the game more unique.
But there are too many similar games in the market, which makes it hard to fall in love with the game.
Arslan Senki: Senshi no Shikaku
アルスラーン戦記 戦士の資格
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“A complete ripoff of Clash of Clans”
“The balance is so bad, I don’t there’ll even be cash abusers”
“Frangis is so ugly…”
At the end of the day, this is just CoC, with the skin of Arslan Senki.
Although the series has been pretty well received, it seems that the ratings haven’t been much of a difference that that of Crash of Panzers. Looks like even Arslan Senki can’t breath new light to the genre.
Girls Reborn
ガールズリボーン
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
“Played for 3 minutes and uninstalled.”
“How can there be so many maintenances for such an outdated gameplay?”
“After a while it stops being a puzzle game and turns into a luck game…”
The gameplay is similar to Thousand Memories’ link-to-remove system. The characters are beautifully designed, which makes it tempting to try.
However, the game’s balance is terrible, the 3×3 grid has to cover too many different types of tiles making luck the defining factor in making high combos instead of skill…
