Another Eden (アナザーエデン 時空を超える猫) is a highly-anticipated title by Wright Flyer Studios that’s already available for download! Another Eden is free to play with in-app purchases. It contains 26 chapters that you’ll progress throughout the story. Featuring the collaboration of Masato Kato and Yasunori Mitsuda from Xenoblade Chronicles and Chrono Trigger series, the game is of course worth trying.
Here are some explanations to the game’s scheme to let beginners who can’t understand Japanese enjoy it without any barrier!
Map & Quests
You will have full access to the map early in the game. You can access the map tab next to the quest tab. In the map, you can teleport to specific areas that you visited before without having to travel. Any ongoing are quests marked on your map. They also indicate how far you are from their given location.
The quest tab can be accessed next to the Map tab. The Quest tab indicates which quests are on-going and offer a description of completion for that specific quest.
Minimap
When you access new areas throughout the story, your minimap will change corresponding to the new area. You might see new icons show up, which may be locations in which you can recover your parties HP and MP, buy weapons and items, mini-boss indicators, quest locations, etc.
There will be green exclamation marks which indicate a certain quest is accessible. A yellow indicator will sometimes be shown on the right or left side of the map. Indicating that a quest can be completed at a certain location. If you happen to get stuck while progressing through a quest, follow the indicator!
A heart will show up at specific locations on the map. This heart indicates an area in which you can recover your party’s HP and MP. These locations will appear at villages or resting points, especially before a boss fight or an event.
Finding Items & FEAR
As you make your way throughout new areas, you will come across shining spots. Clicking on these spots will reward you with items! These items can be used for crafting certain items, such as recovery items, weapons, or items needed for specific quests. Don’t miss out on these shining spots! They’re scattered all around the map. So, check every dead end and fully explore every new area. Even areas that you’ve visited before have items scattered throughout.
You can also find chests at certain locations which can be opened once and may happen to have rare items. Some of these chests can’t be accessed without first defeating a large FEAR enemy.

The risk of FEAR enemies can be confirmed by the icon color indicated on the minimap.
Red – High risk
Orange – Medium Risk
Blue – Low risk
FEAR enemies are much stronger than normal enemies but drop rare loot once defeated. To know if a FEAR enemy is too strong to battle, it’s indicated on the minimap. There are three icons, Red, Orange, and Blue. Blue enemies tend to be the weakest out of the three, as for Red being the most powerful. It’s recommended to skip these enemies and return once your party is strong enough to defeat them.
Skill Tree
Skill trees are accessible once you level up your characters. There are three different classes of skill trees available for characters. To unlock the next board, you’ll need to complete a class skill tree board. You gain MP as you level up so grind up! Your characters only need to participate in battle to gain experience, so make sure to switch in and out any weak characters if you’ll be fighting stronger enemies.
Completing skill trees are essential in strengthening your characters. You can unlock attribute resistances, higher HP and MP, extra stat boosts, and many more skills to aid you in battle. For boards ★1 – ★3, only one MP is required to unlock attributes. As for ★4 boards, some attributes require two or more MP to unlock.
Some characters require Memory books to unlock their ★4-class board. You can acquire these books through quests and unlocking records as you progress throughout the story.
