HoYoverse unveiled a new story trailer for Honkai Star Rail, giving players a closer look at the game’s early prologue, Jing Yuan with a preview of his English voice, and his merchant guild fleet, the Xianzhou Luofu. The game also features some footage of character ultimates that didn’t appear in the game’s prologue chapter.

The story trailer features scenes and events from the game’s starting chapter. In it the Herta space station is invaded by an unknown force, forcing the station to go into lockdown and preparing to evacuate all citizens. During the chaos, a Stellaron Hunter, Kafka is using a bizarre artifact to seemingly wake up the player character. As events unfold the player finds themselves teaming up with the Astral Express, protecting March 7th before unlocking a new power. Could this be why Kafka awakened the player?
The story trailer also shows off some footage of Jing Yuan, general of the Xianzhou Alliance, welcoming the player to the Xianzhou Luofu, the Xianzhou Alliance’s massive fleet. Jing Yuan was announced and previewed earlier in May, with a special preview release on the HoyoLab forums, though his voice actor did not make an appearance there.
